The round was led by Highland Europe, with existing investors Ace Ventures, ByFounders, and Y Combinator participating. Ace Ventures previously led the company’s €6.8 million seed round in late 2024. Adaptyv has since tripled its team to 25, grown revenue roughly 10x, and now counts over 100 customers including frontier AI labs and top pharma companies.
Adaptyv’s automated wet lab allows customers to submit protein designs via a web platform or API, with DNA synthesis, cell-free expression, and binding measurements handled in-house. The company plans to use the new capital to roughly triple lab capacity by end of 2026, open a London lab and office in Q4 2026, and expand into harder biology problems such as developability, next-generation modalities, and cell-based function.
