The seed round was led by Earlybird Venture Capital, with participation from SymbiaVC and Medin VC, following a previous €1 million pre-seed from Earlybird. Founded in 2019 by Laurent Guiraud and Hacène Goudjil, ColibriTD develops quantum software for industrial simulation across aerospace, defence, semiconductors, energy, automotive and finance.
Its core technology, H-DES (Hybrid Differential Equation Solver), is a hardware-agnostic variational quantum algorithm for solving partial differential equations used in multiphysics simulations. The company will use the €4 million to further develop H-DES, hire quantum researchers and engineers, expand partnerships, and grow internationally.
