Comp AI, a compliance automation startup, has raised $34 million in Series A funding to expand its platform beyond audit readiness into continuous security monitoring. The software ingests customer systems and documents to draft policies and risk registers, while AI agents handle onboarding, evidence gathering, and vendor assessments. More than 1,000 companies, including Dub Technologies Inc. and OpenCode, use the open-source platform, which covers frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
The round was led by Roo Capital and Grand Ventures, bringing total investment to $36.6 million after a $2.6 million pre-seed in August 2025. Annual recurring revenue has grown 15x over the past year, and the company plans to hire across product, engineering, sales, and customer success. Comp AI is incorporated as Bubba AI Inc., based in Miami with a New York office, and was founded in January 2025 by Lewis Carhart, Claudio Fuentes, and Mariano Fuentes.
