The pre-seed round was led by TitletownTech, a venture capital firm backed by Microsoft and the Green Bay Packers, with participation from Automotive Ventures, Riceberg Ventures, quantumEDGE Ventures, Jude Gomila and Balaji Srinivasan. Dirac Labs’ quantum sensors use Earth’s magnetic field for positioning where GPS signals cannot reach, such as underground or underwater, and come with AI models for real-time signal processing.
Co-founders Sanket Deshpande and Aishwarya Das spun the startup out of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The company says its golf ball-sized NVD-4 sensors can be manufactured using existing semiconductor infrastructure, making them scalable and cost-effective, and that early traction with defense and industrial partners validates demand.
