The round was co-led by Amiral Ventures and Invest Nova Scotia. Galaxia's satellites will process and analyze data in orbit, reducing reliance on ground-based downlinks. The funding will support deployment of its satellite systems and hybrid space networking for government and commercial customers.

CEO Arad Gharagozli said the platform is built on Canadian IP and aims to provide sovereign space capabilities for Canada and allies. The startup joins a growing field of orbital compute companies, including Toronto's Kepler Communications and major tech players exploring space data centers.
