Greencovery raised €1 million from ROM InWest, existing shareholder Brightlands Venture Partners, and a private investor. The Wageningen-based FoodTech startup uses separation technology to upcycle cocoa side streams into functional ingredients.
The company plans to scale to 1,000-ton capacity and is closing an additional €3 million round with commitments from existing and new investors. Funds will expand production of cocoa fibre, cocoa extract, and cocoa soluble fibre for food manufacturers.
