Lasso Security raises $30M funding for CPU-only AI guardrail

Lasso Security launched a CPU-only AI guardrail called LEAP and raised $30 million in new funding.

Lasso Security, an AI security startup, today launched LEAP, a guardrail that runs on standard server processors without requiring graphics chips. The company also announced that it raised $30 million in growth funding from ClearSky Advisors and existing backers, bringing total investment to over $37 million.

LEAP inspects AI traffic in under five milliseconds and covers tens of thousands of agents monthly for customers including BMW, eToro, Fiverr, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Revenue has grown more than 500% in the past year, and the company plans to use the new capital to expand its engineering team and target federal and regulated-industry accounts.
