The round was led by Atlantic and OVNI Capital, with participation from Concept Ventures, Ixcore, Plug and Play Ventures and industry angels. Lightspring also secured a €350,000 grant from France’s i-Lab competition, bringing total dilutive and non-dilutive financing to over €3.5 million.
Founded in 2026 in Besançon, France, Lightspring uses 3D lithography to fabricate optical coupling structures directly on photonic chips, aiming to replace costly manual alignment. The company will use the funds to develop its Process Design Kit, hire in microfabrication and optical characterisation, and scale its fabrication platform for industrial qualification.
