The financing includes new equity commitments from Hatch Blue's Blue Revolution Fund and Stolt Ventures, alongside a €32 million venture-debt facility from the European Investment Bank. The funds will support construction of a 250-ton farm in Kiel by end of 2026 and a larger 2,000-ton facility on Gran Canaria planned for 2029.

Oceanloop claims to be the first company to farm Giant Grouper in Europe, with sales from its existing land-based farm in Strande beginning in April 2026. The company plans to use the capital to expand its technology platform and establish a new premium seafood category for European gastronomy.
