Octave.energy raises €10 million Series A for battery storage and energy management solutions

Octave.energy, a Mechelen-based CleanTech startup, has raised €10 million in Series A funding to accelerate its expansion across Europe and develop its Battery Energy Storage System and Energy Management System solutions.

The round was led by SPDG Growth, the family office of the Périer-D’Ieteren family, with participation from imec.istart, BNP Paribas Fortis and KBC. Octave.energy has been profitable for three consecutive years and generated €16 million in revenue in 2025, having delivered battery systems representing over 200 MWh of storage capacity to more than 400 businesses including Colruyt Group, McDonald’s, Eneco, Naturgy and Nextensa.

The company plans to use the capital to expand its local sales and operations teams in the Netherlands, France and Germany, and to continue developing its Energy Management System and asset management platforms. Its first projects are already operational in Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Spain.
