The round was led by Lunar Ventures, with participation from AlbionVC, Twin Track and Concept Ventures. Oshen builds C-Star constellations of wind- and solar-powered robots that provide persistent, wide-area ocean monitoring for navies, weather agencies and scientists.
The company is tripling manufacturing output to meet demand, with 100 C-Stars on order. Its robots have already been deployed for hurricane tracking, subsea infrastructure protection and anti-submarine warfare, including a first-ever uncrewed surface vessel penetration of a Category 5 hurricane eyewall.
