Ponda, a biomaterials company restoring wetlands through regenerative farming, has raised €1.6 million in a Seed extension crowdfunding round from 256 new investors. The Bristol-based startup, founded in 2020, develops BioPuff, a natural insulation material made from bulrushes grown on rewetted peatlands.
The company previously closed a €2.09 million Seed round in November 2025 and a €2.76 million DEFRA-backed wetland biomaterials initiative in July 2026. Ponda plans to use the new funds to expand wetland farming, launch partnerships, and bring more BioPuff products to market.
