The round was led by Wing Venture Capital with participation from Haystack, Samsung Next, Canonical Crypto and Lightscape, plus angel investors from OpenAI, Microsoft and Meta. Synthefy will use the $6.5 million to accelerate research, hire engineers and build the next generation of its Nori model.
Synthefy’s Structured Data Foundation Models (SDFMs) are trained on numerical data rather than text, enabling faster and more accurate calculations for tasks like fraud detection and dynamic pricing. Its open-source Nori model, with just 30 million parameters, outperformed Google’s 1.6-billion-parameter TabFM model in testing.
